I didn't become a full-time blacksmith overnight. At first blacksmithing was simply a hobby, but within a few years I decided to take my passion for working with metal into a reality and full-time career. I was first introduced to metal work when I was younger, attending venues where you would typically find a blacksmith and would instantly gravitate towards those booths. Fast forward into my adult life, I didn't think much of the blacksmithing until I began my own small produce and livestock farm. Having had to repair many things around the farm and in my 1805 home, I decided to take up blacksmithing. Shortly after, I decided to take my craft to local venues which instantly made me realize that it was time to make my passion into a reality.
